#FindYourSexy Campaign
Social media is going gaga
over a hashtag started by Millennial hero, Kartik Aryan. Recently the Actor
posted a video on his social media platform asking the people, what looks sexy
on men - Body Hair or Body Bare ?
The question took internet
by storm as not only men but women also started commenting their views on what
they find sexy. Even actors and actresses could not refrain themselves from speaking
their opinions on the same.
This #FindYourSexy Campaign
is an innovative and captivating strategy pulled on by Veet. Reckitt Benckiser,
British multinational corporation forayed male grooming sector in India as they
launched ‘a hair removal cream for men’ under their sub brand ‘Veet’.
Described as a holistic
and multi touchpoint campaign #FindYourSexy aims to shrug off the notion that body
hair is associated with masculinity. Gone are the times when male grooming was
considered taboo as now a days all the superstars flaunt their bare body and abs.
Veet with their new
product is set to embrace India’s fairly small yet developing category as
according to latest ASSOCHAM report, India’s male grooming industry is set to
grow at annual growth rate of 45%. Pankaj Duhan, chief marketing officer, RB
Health South Asia said, “There have always been a lot of queries related to
male depilatory products addressed to Veet via queries on e-commerce and Google
searches. The brand drew feedback from online searches to gauge demand for such
products in the market.
The strategy implemented
by Veet is efficacious and potent as even before coming into the market they
ushered a need for their product as almost all the stars favoured ‘body bare’. Reckitt
Benckiser conducted a research where they concluded that 70% women think men with
excessive body hair looks unattractive. Through this campaign, Veet paralleled
Body bare as sexy and encourage men to try new product and find what works out
for them.
