CHNGE the world
Why don’t you cover them up?
“ Because its my skin. Because
I’d make it worse. Because I’d be satisfying you. Because I’ll trick you.
Because I’ll be the reason you have trust issues. Because it’s my fucking growth.
Because for every layer and second I spend doing it, I rip off a piece of my
confidence. I rip off a piece of me. Because they’re my flaws. Because I am
human. ”
It is the answer which
Leia gives to every single person on this earth who asks her this question.
‘Smashing stereotypes’ is
recent campaign started by CHNGE; a gender-neutral label which aims at breaking
the chains of perfection, the society has built. The campaign features
individuals with labels which others use in an attempt to define and modify
them, spelled on their faces.
Through this initiative, they strive to raise
awareness about body shaming, racism and other prejudices. All the models working
with Chnge are unique in their own way and Leia is also one of them.
As the name suggests,
CHNGE is an eco-driven label founded by a group of creatives protesting
discrimination. Sustainability is an important element in every industry as it is
the need of hour. This newly established label sets to create a brand in which sustainability,
self-acceptance and philanthropy take the utmost responsibility.
World’s first carbon-neutral
company it pledges to use recycled and sustainable material for every piece of
garment they produce. Through the process of recycling, they plan to offset the
amount of CO2 produced throughout the entire supply and lifecycle of a clothing
piece. Other than sustainability efforts, label donates 50% of its profit to
carefully vetted NGO’s such as charity water, Acumen, pencils of promise and
Malala Fund.

Eco-driven and ethical
brand, it aims to be more of social experiment rather than just clothing label.
Talking about their collection, the graphics and messages on their clothing are
also socially oriented. Lines made up of pun and sarcasm, they know how to
blend style and social issue.
Chnge really has all the
bases covered up as everyone they are working with, be it models or
photographers have been chosen equally irrespective of their size, looks and
physical appearance. Their Instagram page promotes the stories of people who accepts
themselves the way they are, ruling out the society’s version of them.
Initiated to fight
inequality, environmental catastrophes and more, this business setup puts
people and planet before profit.
